ANGAT BUHAY CARES FOR CANCER PATIENT CAREGIVERS

Angat Buhay Chairperson Atty. Leni Robredo leads the non-government organization’s ‘Caring for Carers’ event with partners on Monday at the Museo ng Pag-asa in Quezon City. Forty parents and caregivers of children diagnosed with cancer from Kythe Foundation were given a ‘day-off’ and were provided an afternoon of free food, gift bags, and services from different partner organizations such as medical consultations, optical check-ups, massage, and make-up among others.

Nagsagawa ang Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) ng Brgy. Balatas ng Mushroom Production Training para sa mga miyembro ng Rural Improvement Club (RIC) at iba pang SK officials ng Brgy. Balatas sa Bombon, Camarines Sur.

Layunin ng two-day seminar-workshop na ito na magbigay ng kaalaman at kasanayan para sa sustainable livelihoods, palakasin ang food security, magbukas ng mas maraming oportunidad para sa kabataan at kanilang komunidad, at ipakilala ang makabagong agricultural practices.

Bahagi rin ito ng kanilang pagsusulong ng United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), partikular ang Zero Hunger, Decent Work and Economic Growth, at Responsible Consumption and Production para sa komunidad.

Ang proyektong ito ay bahagi ng Matino at Mahusay Grant ng #AngatBuhay mula sa Pilipinas Shell Foundation, na iprinisenta noong Matino at Mahusay Information Session noong Hunyo 2024.
