A WARM WELCOME TO ANGAT SINING – MUSIKA 2026! 🎶🩷
The Archdiocese of Caceres graciously hosted a welcome dinner at the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary in Naga City to mark the beginning of Angat Sining – Musika 2026.
The gathering brought together Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo, our 21 young musicians from across the Bicol Region, and the distinguished mentors who will guide them throughout the fellowship, led by National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab, alongside Noel Cabangon, Jungee Marcelo, Trina Belamide, Jonathan Manalo, Ebe Dancel, Marlon Barnuevo, and Toto Sorioso.
Now in its third edition, Angat Sining is Angat Buhay’s annual arts fellowship, founded on the belief that art should never be a privilege of the few. Through this program, we seek to democratize arts spaces by bringing young Filipino artists closer to the country’s most accomplished practitioners, opening opportunities for mentorship and collaboration, and creating platforms for their work and stories to reach wider audiences.
This year, Angat Sining comes home to Bicol, where 21 young musicians will spend five days developing their craft, drawing inspiration from their roots, and finding their own voices as artists.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Archbishop Rex Andrew Alarcon, Holy Rosary Minor Seminary Rector Fr. Francis Tordilla, and the entire Archdiocese of Caceres for their warm hospitality and generous support. We also thank Mayor Leni Robredo, the City Government of Naga, and its Department of Culture, Heritage, and the Arts for their partnership in bringing this year’s fellowship to life.
Here’s to five meaningful days of music, mentorship, and friendship, and to creating opportunities for the next generation of Filipino artists! 🩷🎶
