Angat Buhay Foundation has delivered its donation of fishing boats to the coastal communities affected by the typhoon “Noru,” locally called “Karding,” in Polillo Island in the province of Quezon. They posted photos of the delivery and turnovers of the fiberglass boats on their social media accounts on 16 March.

A large part of the funds for the boats came from donations of Drag Race Philippines winner Precious Paula Nicole and contestant Eva Le Queen, who held fundraisers after the onslaught of the typhoon in September 2022.

The boat donations are part of the post-disaster intervention projects by the non-governmental organization founded by former Vice President Leni Robredo together with Tanging Yaman Foundation. Other Angat Buhay partners for the project are the groups Angat Polillo Group of Islands and Angat Bayanihan-KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).

On her Twitter account

(@eva_lequeen), Eva Le Queen shared photos of the turnovers and said, “Yung na-raise natin na 170K nung birthday ko dito na siya napunta! Maraming salamat sa lahat ng tumulong (The P170,000 we raised during my birthday resulted in this. Thank you very much to all those who helped)!”
